2010 Rules

The Portland Largest Garage Sale (LGS LLC), its associated committee(s) or authorities, reserves the right to exclude or reject without recourse any person or items which violate the following rules, or are otherwise deemed objectionable.

1. Raffles are NOT allowed.
2. No food & beverage sales; knives; Real Guns (firearms) or pornography.
3. FIRE MARSHALL REGULATIONS (The Fire Marshall will be enforcing the following)
• No "flammable gas, liquid or solid is allowed to be sold. Likewise, portable gas, nitrous tanks, or electric cooking devices or heaters are not allowed inside the Garage Sale building.
• Any tent, awning or trailer that measures10'x10', or larger, inside any building must have a working smoke detector installed for each 100 sq.
Pets are not allowed on the Garage Sale grounds at any time.
4. Only non-motorized wagons and carts for hire that do not exceed 2 ft. wide by 3ft. long will be allowed.
5. There will be no camping overnight.
6. Sellers must stay within the black line boundaries of their spot to comply with fire lanes.
7. ANYONE IN VIOLATION OF ANY OF THESE GARAGE SALE RULES WILL LOSE THE PRIVILEGE OF PREREGISTRATION FOR THE 2O11 PORTLAND LARGEST GARAGE SALE. & WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE SALE WITH NO REFUNDS

Message to Sellers
It is our goal to make this the best "Garage Sale" in the nation...We ask for your cooperation and compliance with our rules and the following guidelines:
• Sellers are required to wear their Sellers decals in plain sight at all times during the sale.
• Spots are not to be sublet or re-sold by Vendors. lf you need to cancel prior to the Garage Sale, please call our office: 503-798-6117 Open 9am to 6pm M-F
• Thursday is a Sellers Set-Up day is 9:30 AM to8PM – Sellers move in decals must be worn at all times during set-up. There will be no General Admission on Thursday & NO Selling on Set Up Day.
• After setting up your spots(s) please cover all items with a tarp or black plastic when you leave for the day.
• Sellers will be admitted two hour earlier than the posted opening hours each day during the Garage Sale.
• Spots must be manned from opening hour to closing. (The Garage Sale closes at 5 PM on Saturday, and the Committee expect each Seller to remain set-up and selling until that time.)
• Amplified speaker systems are not allowed.
• Helium balloons or other free-floating devices are banned inside the buildings.
• Reservation applications, cancellations and refund requests will be accepted until September 1st, 2010.
• Please read and abide by the Portland Largest Garage Sale "Rules" and note the following list of unacceptable items: Food or beverages for sale, switchblade knives, guns, pornography.
• For electrical services there is a $65 charge per spot must pay for before Thursdayby 8 am
• After sale is over all items must be removed from your space and the Expo Center, including garbage. If anything is left behind, you will not be allowed at future shows and a $100 dump fee will be billed to you. Not including goodwill items in that area
• Yes our DJ will be back for more fun and playing songs and giving out door prizes and
• Yes of course Trivia questions…and give away prizes
